About projects

Projects are a way to contribute to 8-bit Bunny during the 50 weeks we are not on playa.

New 2026 All campers are required to complete 10 project points. This can be done though one medium sized project or multiple small projects.

Leading a project means you will be responsible for every step of the project from conception through cleanup.

FAQs

What's the difference between a project and a job?
A job is something that's mostly done on playa. A project is something where most of the work occurs off playa. Getting ice is a job, building a motorized ice cart is a project.
Will camp pay for my project?
Fundraising is a big part of leading a project. Camp dues can't pay for every project and our dues reflect the fact that we expect people to spend some of their own money on their project. Unless the description says camp will cover costs you should expect to pay/fundraise the cost of the project.
